Recce Support Fund

GFO can provide support to productions by offering an organised recce for key personnel including up to two nights accommodation and the services of a professional location scout. Transport for this will also be provided.

The recce will give you and your colleagues a chance to see what Glasgow has to offer in terms of locations, crew and facilities. GFO can set up initial meetings with local crew if required.

Production Support Fund

• Mobile productions can apply for support via the production support scheme. If successful, the contribution forms part of the finance plan of the film and will be recoverable –recoupment position to be negotiated on an individual project basis.
  
• Indigenous productions can also apply for the production support scheme. Following on from the success of our original winter work scheme, Glasgow Film Office will continue in its commitment to support new directors.
• The level of GFO contribution will be determined on the basis of an estimated local spend report provided by the production. The maximum contribution per project is £50,000 but it is usually less. The production must spend at least double the GFO contribution on deals with Glasgow facility and service companies which will be pre-agreed by GFO. GFO expects that where possible, local crew are used on the production.
